A Photo Series: Celebrating 35 years of 9:30 Club

9:30 Club - an iconic venue in Washington D.C. celebrated their 35th anniversary and the release of their first coffee-table book with a World's Fair event in January of 2016. The event was set up as a museum-esque funhouse of pictures, collages, video and more.

Fans got to go backstage, visit the artist green room and search through a vast collection of records and CD's that represented every show ever performed at 9:30 Club... Every. Single. Show.

The best part (in my opinion): a chance to step on stage among the instruments of iconic DC punk bands like Fugazi. They had a screen set up on stage with looped video footage of an actual audience. If you've ever wanted to feel what it's like to be a musician on stage - this attraction made that dream happen. 

As we like to do here at the First In Line, we took to the fans to find out about their first-ever 9:30 Club show.
